  • 1989, achieved 1st grade (black tip) belt.
  • 1991, stopped Taekwon-Do training
  • 1993, started Taekwon-Do training for 6 months under (now) Master Paul McPhail, Manurewa
  • End of 1993, stopped Taekwon-Do training
  • Jun 2003, started training again at South Auckland Taekwon-Do School under Master Ruaki Kaiou
  • Nov 2004, achieved 1 Dan Black Belt under Master Ruaki Kaiou
  • Jan 2005, selected for New Zealand Team
  • Jul 2005, represented New Zealand at 14th ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships, Caloundra,
  • Australia
  • Won TWO GOLD MEDALS in both >70kgs Womens Sparring and Special Technique
  • DOUBLE WORLD CHAMPION
  • Aug 2006, selected for New Zealand Team
  • April 2006, represented New Zealand at 15th ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships, Bled, Slovenia
  • Won SILVER medal in Women's Special Technique'

Rangi Tasker

  • 1987, started training at South Auckland Taekwon-Do School under Master Maorikava Tere
  • Nov 1989, achieved 1st Dan Black Belt under Mr Harry Hemana, 15 years old
  • Dec 1989, attended seminar Wellington with visiting Japanese ITF Taekwon-Do Team
  • Jan 1990, selected New Zealand Team, 15 years old
  • Aug 1990, represented New Zealand at 7th ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships, Montreal, Canada
  • Aug 1991, stopped Taekwon-Do training.
  • 1993, recommenced Taekwon-Do training for 6 months under (now) Master Paul McPhail, Manurewa
  • 1994, left to join the New Zealand Army
  • 1994, whilst in the Army, I trained for 6 months in Wellington under Mr Harry Hemana
  • Jan 2003, left the NZ Army and returned to Auckland
  • Jun 2003, started training again at South Auckland Taekwon-Do School under Master Ruaki Kaiou
  • Jan 2005, selected New Zealand Team
  • Jul 2005, represented New Zealand at 14th ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships, Caloundra, Australia
  • Won BRONZE Medal in +70kgs Womens Sparring
  • Jul 2006, selected for New Zealand team
  • April 2007, represented New Zealand at 15th ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships, Bled, Slovenia
  • Won GOLD medal, Women's Powerbreaking
